Our meetings are held on Thursdays (normally the last of the month),
and take place in the
Primary Room at the United Reformed Church Hall,
Addiscombe Grove, Croydon, CR0 5LP.

This is 3 minutes walk from East Croydon Railway Station, local bus routes and Tramlink,
with car parking available on site.

Meetings start at 19.30 and finish by 22.00
with a break for refreshments.
A collection is made to defray expenses (recommended donation 3.50)
Meetings are open to all with an interest in Railways: visitors are always welcome.

Transforming Victoria Underground Station
Kathryn Waghorn, Project Planning Manager, tells us what's been going on.

Thursday 31st May Scottish steam in the 1950s and 60s.
David Kelso presents black and white images of the good old days north of the border.

Thursday 28th June Railways before 1840
Stuart Dennison returns, to tell the story of the earliest years of railways, as they developed from horse drawn colliery tramways to steam powered trunk lines.

A Colour Rail Journey
Paul Chancellor took over Colour Rail, and tonight brings us a selection of vintage colour images.

Thursday 25th October British Light Railways
John Scott Morgan returns to tell us about a fascinating selection of lines, built to reduced legal requirements, and mostly run on the proverbial shoestring.

Thursday 29th November Why are there no Tube Trains to Bushey Heath?
Keith Gower comes to give us an illustrated talk about the proposed Northern Line Extensions, part of the NewWorks programme of the 1930s that were overtaken by the war.

Thursday 20th December A Look at the USA
Brian Garvin comes to show us a selection of images from across the Atlantic, from his travels there in recent years.

We also plan to participate in the next Croydon Railbrains inter Society quiz.
