LOCOMOTIVE CLUB of GREAT BRITAIN
BEDFORD BRANCH

PUBLICITY & SALES

The next booked appearance for our sales stand

Will appear here

Saturday 7 November 2015
At Kempston Model Railway Exhibition sales of books etc. were a bit slow.

But fortunately sales of cuddly toys knitted by Toni Cross were popular.

Here they are pointing out the publicity for our next two events.
Saturday 6 July - we ran a very successful sales stand at the Train Collectors’ Society’s Summer Show, held at Sandy, Beds.

Apart from the usual fare, you could see not-to-scale trains going round tight bends at very high speeds.

Here is a Hornby 0 - gauge three-rail electric layout.

A major branch activity is the sale of new and second-hand books and other items.

The sales stand is open at every indoor meeting.

We also visit exhibitions, open days etc.

This helps to publicise the Club and fill the coffers of the Branch!

One secret of our success is that most people on the stand are graduates of the LCGB Charm School

We run publicity stands at local events where a sales stand isn't appropriate.

These help to spread news about the Club's activities as well as those of the Bedford Branch.

A recent event was the Bedford Rail Transport Association's Green Fair in Central Bedford.

Here we were visited by the local MP who was impressed by our green credentials and by his free LCGB carrier bag!
